Since the first Civic Type R was added to the EK series in 1997, the 6th generation's Civic Type R (FL5) represents the ultimate evolution of the Civic by refining and maturing the technologies of its predecessors.
Its performance has changed the stereotype that Front Wheel Drive (FWD) cars are "slower" or has bad handling compared to other kind of cars, setting the fastest lap time for FWD cars at the Nürburgring, famously known as the “Holy Land of Sports Car Development.”
The suspensions and all the components are designed and developed exclusively for the Type R including a dual-axis strut suspension in the front and a multi-link system in the rear. This significantly reduces understeer, achieving high stability and precise handling.
For the 6th generation platform it was used ultra-high tensile steel and a resin tailgate hatch, improving both rigidity and weight reduction.
The K20C engine now produces 330 hp increasing by 10 horsepower compared to the previous generation. The acceleration is smooth and linear from low to high RPMs, making the 1,430 kg curb weight feel effortless.
It delivers racing car-like speed with outstanding handling that captivates every driver. The steering is attached to the road as if it has claws, and all aspects of its performance are designed in order to make the car become a driver's body extension. The wide, muscular fenders exude strength and sex appeal. The traditional red Type R seats ignite your passion.
It comes equipped with a factory navigation system, and supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A backup camera is also included.

☆ Only individuals who have held a manual transmission (MT) license for more than 3 years and are 21 years of age or older are eligible.
☆ Depending on the rental course, there is a mileage limit:
・10-hour course: 250 km
・24-hour course: 400 km
☆ If the mileage limit is exceeded, an additional fee of ¥55 per kilometer will be charged for the excess distance.
☆ Circuit driving, gymkhana, mountain pass racing, or any similar high-performance driving activities are strictly prohibited.
☆ Please note that we reserve the right to decline service if our staff determines that the usage is inappropriate.
